What are the steps involved in placing the veneers on my teeth?

It usually takes between one and two weeks to get your veneers back from the lab after our dental team would record your teeth impression.
You can schedule an appointment to have your veneers placed. Dr.Adatrow would evaluate the fit, form, and shade of the veneers at this appointment to ensure that they are right for you.
Next, our dental team would clean your teeth thoroughly. This is important, as it prevents bacteria from being trapped and causing decay under the veneer. They use the grinding tool after they do this to create a rougher texture on each tooth to which a veneer can be added. This helps the veneer to adhere to the tooth more easily.
Dental cement is then used by Dr.Adatrow to attach the veneer to the tooth. To harden this cement quickly, they'll use ultraviolet light, and once you leave the office, your smile is ready!
Further adjustments could be made in the later appointments.

How long would dental veneers last?

Generally, dental veneers might last around 7-10 years if you follow all the care instructions. There will be a need to repair the veneers after that duration.

Can I choose the type of veneers I would like to have?

Your doctor best decides the type of dental veneer. Dr. Adatrow will assess your medical history, medications, oral health status, and determine the treatments that will give you the best results.

What are the steps involved in placing porcelain veneers?

  • Dr. Adatrow usually removes a small amount of enamel from the teeth' front and sides to prepare the teeth. This helps the veneers to have space so that the teeth appear normal.
  • Our dental team makes an impression of the teeth that are prepared. The dentist even agrees on the shade of veneer that is perfect for your smile.
  • The impression would be sent to a dental laboratory that customizes porcelain veneers to match your teeth. This could take some days. In the meantime, Dr. Adatrow might give you temporary veneers to wear.
  • The doctor will place your veneers on the teeth during the next visit to check the fit and form. The teeth are cleaned after some modifications, and the veneers are bonded to the tooth.
  • Further changes are made at a later appointment.

What are the benefits of composite resin veneers?

  • In general, less tooth enamel needs to be removed than crowns or veneers of porcelain
  • Fewer visits to the dentist can mean these veneers often take just one visit
  • Less expensive than porcelain veneers of porcelain
  • If they are damaged, they are simple to fix. Simultaneously, composite veneers are typically not as strong or wear-resistant as porcelain veneers; composite veneers can be easily and quickly repaired.
