Can dental lasers reduce tooth sensitivity?
Yes, dental lasers have been proven by studies to seal dentinal tubules and, as a result, reduce tooth hypersensitivity. However, before treating teeth hypersensitivity, we should understand the cause, whether teeth sensitivity is due to wearing away of enamel or receding away of gums or due to tartar accumulation or a cavity. This would enable us to address the root cause and provide you better treatment.
Am I eligible for Laser gum treatment?

What are the drawbacks of dental lasers?
Dental lasers cannot be used in the following situations –
- Lasers cannot be used on a tooth with a filling
- Lasers cannot be used on a cavity in between the teeth.
- Lasers are not effective in treating extensively decayed teeth.
- Lasers are unable to remove any damaged crowns or bridges
What is low-level laser therapy (LLLT)?
Low-level laser therapy (LLLT), also referred to as low-level light therapy or photobiomodulation (PBM), is low-intensity light therapy. The effect is not thermal but photochemical. Light causes biochemical changes in cells and can be linked to the mechanism of photosynthesis in plants.
